Through my High School career, I have been in choir. Whether it be Bel Canto, Women’s Choir, or Dragonaires. I have a passion for singing, whether it is classical music or foreign music. I love being able to challenge my talent. During my choir years, there have been 3 choir trips. I have attended two of them. The first one was in New York, I did not attend this one because I was only a Freshman. I did attend our Chicago trip last year, we went down there to tour the town and we went and watched The Blue Man Group, and we stopped at two places on our way down there to sing. It was fun being able to be with the whole Dragonaires choir. We had a great time. I also attended the Disney World trip in January, there were about 45 kids and 5 chaperones. We flew down to Orlando and stayed there for 5 days, we had some crazy experiences. We had a Disney Workshop with one of the vocal instructors from the Disney Movies. We also sang at the Downtown Disney stage, that was an unforgettable experience. So many people walked by and were amazed at how good we did. We also visited all the parks beside SeaWorld. My favorite park we visited was Universal Studios.
My favorite part about choir, would have to be Pops Concert. Just because we get to sing more upbeat songs and we get to make them our own. We add fun choreography and amazing effects. Another fun thing about Pops is that you can sing a solo of your choice, which is an amazing opportunity to show our town how much talent is in our schools. Also Seniors get to MC and every year we show Mr.Green how much we appreciate his hard work and not giving up on us. Most of us have been in Mr.Green’s class since we were in 6th grade and others have come and gone.
