The 2015 playoffs got off to great start with some very competitive teams desperately trying to reach the finals. Now for most people there were a few teams they were pretty sure were going to get knocked out early in 4-game sweep fashion. Although I wanted to see teams like the Pelicans and the Celtics go far and play some great postseason basketball, that is not what happened. Both teams were swept in the first round along with the Toronto Raptors. I was not too thrilled with this but as long as the Washington Wizards were still going strong I was happy. With the 6,7,8 seeds in both conferences being knocked out, you were guaranteed to see some great basketball in the second round. Every game in the second round has gone to six games, with the Cavaliers being the first team to advance to the Conference Finals. Although I would have liked to see the Bulls advance I am not too disappointed with the Cavs advancing. Alot of fans wanted to see them go far in their first season having LeBron back. With the exception of the Wizards being down 3-2 to the Hawks, I am happy with the way things are going. The Clippers and Rockets are in a tight battle going into game 7 and another one of my favorite teams the Warriors up 3-2 on Memphis. Stephen Curry has been phenomenal as always and the Warriors have been mowing down their competition. Another player to watch going forward is veteran guard, Monta Ellis of the Dallas Mavericks. He has averaged 26 points this postseason and it doesn’t look like he’s going to stop scoring anytime soon. I would like to see the Cavs playing the Wizards in the Eastern Conference Finals and the Warriors taking on the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals. There have been some very interesting games so far this year and the excitement in the fan base is crazy throughout the whole playoff run. There have been buzzer beaters, game 7’s, controversial calls and crazy shots that are always sure to have fans seating on the edge of their seats. All in all it will be a battle right down to the end with some great teams going at it but most importantly GO WIZARDS!
